Tokushima Castle

Now Tokushima castle only has a gate, a moat, a museum and the park left there.
The gate was protected very well. It was built with wood. I took the picture at night. The light was on. It looked like a gate of some rich people's house in old times.

I also took picture of the moat. That was the bridge on the moat.

bans

One day I saw a lot of ban boards on some open ground. That was the first time I saw so many bans. Normally, you can in some corner of people's house, there is a ban of no urine, or no dog poo, or no parking and so on.
It seemed that that open place collected all the bans in Japan. It was like a ban museum. Or it looked like
a graveyard with many kinds of strange tombstones.

what is your type

Japan is really a convenient country. You can almost get anything at any time. There are a lot of convenient stores everywhere, which are open for 24 hours.
You can get drink from vending machines the whenever you are thirst.
Also I found interesting thing. You can get condoms from the vending machines. There was an more interesting machine near where I live. The condoms were sorted according your blood type, ie, there are A B O types condoms there. I did not understand how that works.

Tokushima University

I was in the engineering department. You know, in Minamijyousanjima the engineering department and arts department are there.
There was not so much green trees in the engineering campus. The arts department was pretty beautiful. The part in front of the gym is the most beautiful place.
In the gym I played badminton many times. If you stand on the second floor of the gym, you will see a beautiful scene in front of you.
That was my favorite place.

Tail-chopped cat

I saw a tail-chopped cat near my old apartment. It was taking sun bath near the crossing.
There was a tabaco store near the crossing. Sometime I was wondering how such stores could make money because some of the stores that I saw were in some place where no people would go by.
After I moved out from the old apartment to the city apartment near the ground, I saw a lot of cats around the ground. They have the same feature. All of them got the tails chopped.
A little bit strange!

Japanese persimmon

When I was in Beijing, in the campus there were a garden full of persimmon tree. In the autumn, there were a lot of persimmon on the tree. I was born in the south of China. I never saw persimmon in my home town. I did not human can eat persimmon.
At that time, the persimmon just fell onto the ground and nobody went to pick it up.
Before I came to Tokushima, I saw persimmon in Nara and Hiroshima too. I never tried to buy it. I thought maybe Japanese just use that for decoration.
After I came to Tokushima, when I saw that in the store, I bought some back because of my curiosity.
My god, it was so delicious. I hung up some on the window of my old apartment. So everyday I could have one.
Later I introduced that to honey, the American guy. He became to like that very much. Actually persimmon became his favorite fruit.
He said he never saw that in USA. After we came to NY, we went to the Asian store, we saw persimmon. But the name was Japanese persimmon.
I do not know why it was Japanese persimmon.

Ginkgo biloba tree near my window

My seat and table was near the window. There was a Ginkgo biloba tree near my window. Because it was towards to the west and between two buildings, the leaves changed color later than other trees. But once it changed, it was really so beautiful that when I got tired, I always looked at that and rest my eyes.
Not only I enjoyed that tree, but also some birds enjoyed that. I found some pigeons resting on the tree many times. Some time I just found them stayed on the tree for the nights.
